I don’t quite see the difficulty in designing a timeline, more than I see the difficulty in executing that timeline. I should be important to identify tasks that are most likely going to be either/or time consuming and complex to execute, and provide a larger time frame for those tasks. Moreover, the timeline should be updated as the project progress to account for any early ( than scheduled) task and incorporate the remaining of those hours into the most challenging tasks.
