In order for a team to be motivated, the PM should consider new ideas and challenging ways on the current project. And yes I believe that the PM level of motivation directly affects the team’s productivity as the PM is responsible for delivering the communications to the team. I believe, the PM shouldn’t have a mindset of a manager, and more of a leader that is helping the team accomplish a goal. Another opportunity for a PM to motivate a team is to have a lunch outing after successfully finishing a project on time. Many times, employees are looking forward to a treat after completing a task on time. All in all, if the PM is highly motivated, then the team will follow the same motivation in completing a project.
