I guess for me the challenge and the reward is what motivates me to complete a project. The challenge aspect is important to me because it brings fun and excitement to the project. It engages me to research, brainstorm, ask questions, and gets me going because I’m learning new things. If there was no challenge I would probably just ease my way through lazily with many breaks and do a decent job. The more exciting the project is, the better motivated I will be, to do a great job. The second aspect, the reward, is something that also motivates me. I’ve done project where at the end my manager gave me a pat on the back and said I did excellent work. This motivates me because it shows what I’m capable of and that the company holds me to a high regard of what’s expected from me. I don’t want to disappoint my boss or the company so I do the best that I can.
