This is probably most prevalent on Instagram where people can seamlessly integrate certain products into their everyday photo posts. Many times it is clothing brands, skin care and teeth whitening lines, jewelry companies, and many others who will pay for endorsements from certain people who are either very famous or just have a large outreach in general due to how many followers they have. These endorsements reach the thousands or even millions of people who view those photos and may be inclined to buy it since their favorite fashion icon, athlete, or tv personality uses that product. This is a very innovative strategy given the popularity of some of these platforms which have the potential to reach more people than traditional commercials.
