  • It is very important to make sure that every pharmaceutical drugs should go through the clinical trials multiple multiple times with sampling subjects more and more extensively before they are put into the market. This is because every drugs has its specific effectiveness and toxicity functions to its dose. If we don’t do clinical test, we will never know how that curve will show on the human body. Doctors will never prescript those drugs before they know their adverse effects, effective dose, and contradictions because they will be the one responsible for the aftermath of a likely medical malpractice. Besides, a drug that can be bought on the market must be proved to be apparently more effective than the placebo group to relieve the major symptoms, or to counter the known cause of a disease. But cure rate is a different story because almost every disease can be classified into many subtypes according their pathologic properties and causes. Like in leukemia, you can call it incurable as a whole, but there is a “curable” type called acute promyelocytic leukemia that can be eradicated by using arsenical and all-trans retinoic acid.
