Before outsourcing, the project manager should do a cost analysis to determine if doing this inhouse would save time, money, and man power. If not then before outsourcing the project manager should ensure that the company they plan on using has the resources to accomplish the task as well as meets all industry standards. An ISO certification is important because they are certified to be meeting standards and this raises less questions during an audit, as well as ensures that what is being manufactured is good quality and safe.
