The most common challenge I have faced during a project is usually time-related. There was a time where there was a communication issue between me and a supervisor. During my time as a volunteer, I was tasked with completing a project that would be presented two weeks later. In order to help me accomplish this task, a supervisor was assigned to me. I was given the email of the supervisor, and I was told to contact them if I had any questions. The issue was that, for whatever reason, I could not get a response from them. I figured maybe they were away at the time, so I waited a day or so for a response, but there was nothing. It got up to the middle of the first week when I was finally able to receive a response; they informed me that they were in the process of moving and that they would be fairly busy during work hours. I was a bit disappointed by this, but I took the information I could and worked on what I could. There were still a few areas that I was having trouble with, the deadline was approaching, and worst of all, I was once again having trouble contacting my supervisor. So instead of waiting for a response this time, I decided to reach out to a contact at the company for a bit of clarification, and I also did some researching on my own to finish up the rest. So all in all, I was able to overcome a communication issue by reaching out to other contacts and being more independent with the procurement of information.
