@k-faulk Thank you for your response.  You gave a nice example.  I am a teacher too.  The only reference I really have is in the education field.  I am more interested in seeing how a project would look in industry.  Whether it is with medical devices or some other sector, what is a day in the life of a project manager?  I know I want to leave the classroom, but I have been doing it so long (12 years), I question what it would be like to make the transition.

The best way to avoid repeated mistakes in a project management team is to have constant evaluation and feedback about things that can be done more successfully. The PDCA cycle: plan, do, check, act is a very helpful tool for teams because during the "check" portion of the project all reviews and comments on the project development process and the project itself can be evaluated. This is a great time to make the necessary changes to the team that can lead to continued improvement to the team and all following projects.
