Gantt Chart is essential because it helps drill down activities that need to be done by a specific time. It is usually used to track project schedules. You will find that tasks are shown on the vertical axis in the Gantt chart while the scheduled time-spend is laid out on the horizontal axis. I believe it is easy to schedule the tasks, easy to understand, straightforward, and visual representation of time frames.

The overlapping activities throughout the Gantt chart represent the project as a whole. There may be several tasks taking place simultaneously, and visualizing this on a Gantt chart may help keep tasks on schedule. Some tasks have varying durations and need to be completed simultaneously, while others have more freedom in their completion times. These overlaps allow some tasks to begin ahead of schedule while others need to begin and finish at a designated time in the project. The Gannt chart depicts all the potential starts and stops of tasks of a project's duration. Having a clear vision of the project makes the Gantt chart an advantageous tool for the PM.

When there are multiple projects occurring at once, you are able to visualize all of your tasks and view them as a "puzzle piece," while using the Gantt chart.  This will enable someone to prioritize their due dates for the tasks as well, which can be adjusted. Although some tasks may need to come before others, the Gantt chart can help an individual working on several tasks to work between tasks related to each other.  This guarantees there is plenty of time to complete the tasks.
