I think this is the exact pitfall where a project manager cannot control the schedule, performance and a lot of details about the animal study. Most important one of them is the requirement of the animal that is appropriate for the experiment: the species, age, size, sex, health and so on. If the manager cannot monitor on the details of the…[Read more]

In my opinion, it is not humanitarian at all to take any animal experiment. Since their lives will get hurt and killed anyway when it comes to the pre-clinical research and people just wanna get rid of the germs, toxins or any contagions they put inside the animal’s bodies in simplest ways. I used to work as an intern for 2 and half years to apply what I learned in the medical textbooks. I would say that is a shockingly destructive experience for my…[Read more]

lurongyang replied to the topic Discussion Topic: Practical vs. Informational courses in the forum Introduction to Medical Device Development 6 years, 7 months ago
I think in reality they are both important. 70:30 seems a fair proportion for me in terms of studying both academic skills enough for basically knowing where I am in the overall knowledge network of the BME-related subjects and practical ones for dealing with the real industry world. But on campus I do admit they tends to focus more on the…[Read more]
