Quality Assurance (QA) is defined as if the project is equipped to handle the standards. It is a process oriented and focusses on defect prevention. QA is a set of activities for ensuring quality in the processes by which the products are developed. It aims to prevent defects with a focus on the process used to make the product. Quality Control (QC) is defined if the project complying with the standards. It is product oriented and focusses on defect identification. Quality control is a set of activities which ensures the quality of the product. The activities focus on identifying defects in the actual products that are produced. Qc aims to identify and correct the defects in the finished products. So, it is a reactive process. The main goal of quality control is to identify defects after a product is developed and before its released. Quality control is usually responsible of a specific team that tests the product for defects. Validation is an example of Quality control. Quality control is a product oriented.
