From project scope management you can learn about the overall direction of the project and how you see the project moving along. The scope should be very detailed so as too keep all members of the team on track by giving precise details and instructions on what must be done. Also, a scope management plan is needed as there are many people involved in the project process and everyone must be working towards accomplishing the same goal. I would plan the project scope management by first figuring out what is the end goal of the project. Then listing possible things that must get done to reach that final end goal, and after that I would assign how long I think each of these processes would take so as to outline the plan and get an estimated end date. The scope is also important because it can attract certain investors by letting external sources know exactly what you are planning on pursuing and what factors will affect this plan. If you have too wide of a scope then it will take longer to complete as you are trying to accomplish too much and may waste time on irrelevant tasks. Also, since medical devices can pose serious health risk it is important to set the scope on major details and to not leave anything out.
