Being able to accurately navigate through the troubled waters of time constraints and budgetary issues is a vital skill to have for research projects. There are often times where decisions need to be made based on what is deemed to the be most integral aspects of the research and what can be trimmed down. It is easy to be become overly ambitious in a research project, choosing to have multiple trials, numerous amounts of models, and all within a specified timeframe. It is in these moments where cutting corners would appear to be the more attractive option especially to combat time issues for the project. Though in my opinion it is there when the project starts to become compromised and lose its creditability when data points have been stretched to fit the timeframe more favorably. It should be up to the researcher to decide whether cutting corners could be used to save time or whether the strength of the proper research is enough for the project to survive.
