Retaining top performers in a company can really make or break a company, specifically a medical device company. I have seen a risk management department fall apart due to the Human Resource department not focusing on retention of top performers. If a medical device company loses their most valuable employees, rehiring newer employees to perform the same job at the same level of expertise can take some time, and cause delays in urgent tasks to be performed or even project delays. Hire for fit is also essential to a medical device company. If the right individual is hired with all the qualifications needed to perform a certain role, then success of a medical device will continue to grow, along with retention of top performing employees, and reducing turnover.

So my question is how this will help in medical field improving the devices and project?

The most important part of the project is gathering the team that can set this project to success, and that depends on the members of the team. Like all the other fields, when working on a project in the medical field, we need the best fit for the task and the perfect team members to communicate to get the job done. HR along with the project manager gets the job of finding the best fit not only interns of knowledge and experience but also in terms of communication meeting the project milestones and quick solutions to find alternative ways to meet a missed milestone or to say within budget.

These are great points made in regards to the Human Resource Management team. I believe that in the medical field, when it comes to improving the devices, reducing the turnover rate is important in both personnel and production. For example, when losing a team member, it is important to have a quick turn over rate in finding replacements and training them for specific tasks. On the same token, turn over rates in device production is important for output and customer use and satisfaction. Hiring for fit is also a key factor in device and project improvement because while some candidates may have impressive backgrounds, he or she may not prove to be a great fit for a particular task, which may slow down production. This goes hand in hand with retaining the top performers because not only do the individuals understand the task at hand, they are very productive in their performances. Lastly, improving the engagement of the employees is vital to improving device and project production because if a person is not satisfied with their work environment, it will not be conducive to their work ethic or engagement, which can prove to be detrimental to the overall output of devices.

Human resources is a valuable resource in the development of medical devices and projects and supports the development and sustainment of teams that can provide solutions to see projects through to the closing phase. Having the right people that are the right fit for the job is crucial to the sustainment of any project especially in the medical field we’re lives are at stake. Leveraging the use of HR professionals as opposed to hiring yourself may reduce hiring errors and provide staffing opportunities and retainment of high performers in a medical device field. The challenge in not leveraging human resource management is the inability to effectively hire the best and the brightest bringing innovation and opportunity to projects not yet seen. I worked for a company that had a high turnover rate and I can tell you that it was actually part of the strategy of the company and it proved to be tumultuous in the end. Hiring the right people can actually save you time and money in the long run because the recruitment process can be cumbersome and expensive.

In my time working at the current organization that I am in, the HRM standards have not been truly met.  Human Resources Management is critical in hiring the right person for the department. Job applications and questions are supposed to present a sort of buffer to initially weed through applications and to give HRM the tools to gauge the person’s qualifications to sit in a particular seat as well as hopefully match with the working environment.  Having the right staff is critical in keeping the project moving forward on schedule or even ahead of schedule.  So, essentially HRM is essential in improving the devices and projects by having responsibility in helping to monitor and control the members of the team project through hiring actions for the company.

HRM helping to improve employee engagement within an organization can ultimately lead to employee retention.  However, it does assist in the employees working on devices and projects because if the work environment is comfortable (which is the main purpose of employee engagement by HRM) the team will work more efficiently on the project reducing errors and possibly produce ahead of the timeline carved out by the PM.

Although the question's goal is to identify how these human resource functions are most applicable in improving devices and the project, I think each of these functions are germane in any profession for the same reasons.  Reduction in turnover is vital because it directly impacts resources.  Time and money are just a couple of resources that will be wasted if there is a high turnover. In addition, people's knowledge and experience travels with them. It is possible to lose those who are quite an asset.  Hiring for fit in the company is also important because a person who does not fit will ultimately leave, whether they quit or are fired.  They may also end up causing unnecessary issues within the organization.  There is a need to focus on retention of top performers because those people are assets and no company wants to lose a top performer.  Lastly, if employees are engaged they are likely to want to remain in the company.  Those who are not engaged my be more likely to leave because they may not have any allegiance to the company.  In each instance a connection can be made to devices and the overall project because failure to adhere to those items can result in the delay or complete dissolution of the project.

Human resource management is key for linking a company's mission to the employee's performance and achievements. HR management is key in worker retention and hiring the best and most viable candidates. Within the scope of improvement in the medical field, I think HR management will play a vital role in keeping experienced people in this field, so the scientific community overall is progressing and contributing the society. The scientific field and the medical field have a lot of stress placed on them, especially now, where this is a global pandemic. HR management will be key in keeping people focused, happy and preventing burnout of workers' resources.

The Human Resource Management group contributes to the improvement of the devices and project by assisting with the monitoring and supervision of project team members. Human Resources is critical about recruiting the best people for the job, as well as keeping the right people and firing the ones who aren't doing well. Having the best people on board is crucial to keeping the project on track. As a result, the team member's experience, expertise, and skills have improved. I will select three training sections a year from my current job to attend and improve my skills. And it is due to Human Resources Management's efforts that I am given this chance.

The reduction of turnover keeps knowledge gained from experience gained by employees over the course of their employment within the company. Hiring for fit ensures the company has the best personnel for current and future projects. The focus on retention is a bit self-explanatory, but it shows what kind of employees work best in the culture that has been created within the workplace and which ones have performed the best during their time in the company. If those employees check all the boxes and continue to perform well for the company's betterment, they should be kept in-house. And finally, improving employee engagement lets HR know what problems may arise from the workplace culture and may suggest how HR may correct them. Engaging with other employees also makes work feel less like work and encourages the employees to stay on.

I think this will help ALOT! This will make sure deadlines are met &remove poor workers. Both of these are very important because they can create results that affect the whole team. HR plays a large role in the success of the medical field. If people are around who don't care about the staff or patients it can create tension and poor work ethic.

The Human Resource Management Department will help in the medical field improving the devices and project by ensuring that all hired in the project are well qualified and will be a top performer. They will make sure that the best person gets the job so that it is less likely that they cannot preform at the level expected of them. Human Resource management will ensure that anyone who is not meeting the expected goal every time a device or project is begin worked on are terminated. They will also improve any and all employee engagement by making sure the needs of the employees are being met and or taken care of. If you have individuals who are preforming at their best the devices and projects worked on will run smoothly.

Human resources should play a significant role at all companies. The purpose of HR is to recruit, hire, and train employees but I think within well established companies there purpose goes well beyond just those three initiatives. HR should also strive to better understand their employees and also help in business decision making thereby increasing business outcomes. In turn, this will boost employee morale, retention, and overall engagement making a healthy work environment.

Also, the HR department has the unique position to set the culture of the company. They can open communication channels that allow for open talks and exchange of feedback between senior management and employees. This will boost morale of all employees and result in a positive work environment.

Human resources have an essential job since they choose who is suitable for the available positions. The turnover rate is an issue since you don't want someone who will come in the middle of the project. Since this will require you to teach them everything from scratch, which can get annoying and frustrating. One would rather have employees who will begin and finish the project together. If the human resources department could recruit each person perfectly every time, then we would live in a perfect world; however, we know that is not the case. So the human resource department learns from their mistakes, and from those mistakes, they will learn how to choose more accurately in the future.

A good HR team is important for any companies. They are not only help company find the correct personal but also keep them. First is hiring correct personal for the company. A good hiring can bring fresh blood to the company and make the development of product smoother. other thing is to keep those new hiring. lots of times them are just use this opportunity as a Springboard to a larger company.  Frequent personal changes will make the team unstably, new recruit need time to be trained. this will slow down the speed to finish projects. A stable personal will lower the cost.

As mentioned in the original post, the main functions of the Human Resource Management department are to reduce turnover, hire for fit, focus on retention of top performers, and improve employee engagement. Furthermore, it is the job of the human resource management department to ensure employees are happy and comfortable in their workspace. Having a successful human resource management department will help in the medical field by improving medical devices because employees that are happier are more likely to succeed and be inspired.
