One popular trend in the social media era of today is marketing products through popular influencers on various sites. This is probably most prevalent on Instagram where people can seamlessly integrate certain products into their everyday photo posts. Many times it is clothing brands, skin care and teeth whitening lines, jewelry companies, and many others who will pay for endorsements from certain people who are either very famous or just have a large outreach in general due to how many followers they have. These endorsements reach the thousands or even millions of people who view those photos and may be inclined to buy it since their favorite fashion icon, athlete, or tv personality uses that product. This is a very innovative strategy given the popularity of some of these platforms which have the potential to reach more people than traditional commercials.

I think one of the most important reasons why these companies never put ads on television is that they occupy the most of the market share in that area, almost monopolized in its most cutting-edge technology development that not many other companies could afford to keep up with. Just like Boeing and Airbus, they are the most known airplane manufacturers in the world, both are confident to have customers that keep coming in no matter whether they put ads or not. However, there are possible other reasons for their silence on the TV marketing, including that customers cannot being usual households, that the product cost per se is already astronomical, etc. In general, those companies who are not interested into marketing on TV may not intend to attract the population that watch TV in the first place.

One of the most common ways to market a new product is through medical device representatives. Medical device representative helps both surgeons and patients by providing useful information and training. They help ensure that the surgeon use the device correctly, thereby improving the patents health and safety. This way the medical device representative is promoting the company, product and surgeons success. When a new device comes out in the market, surgeons are not familiar with the device. The new device or updated device requires a device representative to help surgeons get familiar with the device and market new products through this relationship.

One product I've seen advertised significantly, but not at all through television, is the popular app TikTok. This app is a social media platform that allows the user to post videos they create. It is becoming popular for short music videos, dance videos as well as funny videos. This app is advertised frequently on YouTube and other social media platforms. 

I believe this is a smart way to market, as most of the individuals that would be interested in this app are those who already enjoy social media platforms and are on them often enough to see the ads, and those watching videos on YouTube and could possibly want an easy way to create their own.

Although this product and marketing technique may not appear to be very relevant to the issue, education may be viewed as a product and search engines as a marketing platform. AdWords generates a lot of revenue for Google, and many businesses pay to have their products appear for these precise terms. The most costly AdWords groupings are based on finances and are aimed toward the expense of schooling.

The first device I know of was CPAP Continuous Positive Airway Pressure, The most effective treatment for obstructive sleep apnea; CPAP blows air with continuous pressure down your throat at night to keep your airways open while you. I heard of this device from a Dr. I had not seen advertised but heard a doctor tell a family member about it. I looked it up after. This was Direct-to-consumer advertising.  The second device is one Arm Blood Pressure Monitor that helps you check your blood pressure at home. The first time I heard anything about it was on the radio, and I would later see it in a magazine.
