HR here works as a way to improve the quality of people that enter a company which can help in better device designs and smoother project completions. Essentially, there needs to be a filter for quality when it comes to a company and HR works in that department.

By reducing turnover, HR essentially keeps experienced members on the team. Time tends to translate to experience and an understanding as to how a company operates and allows top workers to remain on the team which in turn preserves technical knowledge and maintains good continuity in long term projects.

Hiring people with the right skills and mindset lets companies keep members that would be a good fit for teams in both behavior and technical skills. This directly translates to fewer design flaws and stronger teamwork across different departments.

Retaining top performers keeps specialists comfortable in the company and can drive up innovation and leads to higher quality products.
